According to the CDC, nearly 25% of U.S. adults don’t meet the recommended exercise guidelines. This lack of movement lowers metabolism and leads to weight gain. A 2017 study in The Lancet found that physical inactivity is responsible for 7.2% of global deaths, and in the U.S., it’s a major factor in obesity-related diseases.
