Psychology: People who are prone to anxiety have a not-so-healthy habit

Take this example: Imagine you’ve just sent an important email to your boss. He doesn’t reply right away. An anxious mind might jump to the worst conclusion: “Oh no, my work must be terrible. He’s ignoring me. I’m going to get fired!” 

This is an example of negative attribution—thinking the worst without any evidence. But what if you reframe it? Instead of assuming the worst, think: “He’s probably just busy. I’ll follow up later.” Same situation, different interpretation. By learning to shift your mindset, you can drastically reduce anxiety.
