3. Talking in Your Sleep—And Not Remembering It

It’s not just kids who talk in their sleep—adults do too! Known as somniloquy, sleep talking happens when your brain stays active during lighter stages of sleep, causing you to speak or mumble in your sleep.

Why It Happens:

  • Stress & Anxiety: Your brain may stay “on” during sleep, especially if you’re stressed.
  • Sleep Deprivation: Less sleep means more frequent episodes of sleep talking.

How to Fix It:  

Relax before bed with mindfulness or journaling. Improving your sleep hygiene—sticking to a regular schedule and cutting down on screen time—will also help.

4. Teeth Grinding—Waking Up with a Sore Jaw?

If you wake up with a sore jaw or headaches, you might be grinding your teeth at night. Bruxism affects many adults and is often linked to stress or underlying sleep issues like sleep apnea.
